Job Summary
As an Endoscopy Technician at Hutchinson Clinic P.A, you will play a vital role in assisting physicians during endoscopic procedures. Your responsibilities will include assisting nurses with patient care activities, handling, caring for, and sterilizing/disinfecting/processes all surgical equipment and accessories. You will also assist in inventory management, maintain a sterile/aseptic environment, schedule appointments and procedures for patients, and prepare medical charts as needed.

Key Responsibilities
• Assist physicians during endoscopic procedures
• Assist nurses with patient care activities
• Handle, care for, and sterilize/disinfect/process all surgical equipment and accessories
• Assist in inventory management
• Maintain a sterile/aseptic environment
• Schedule appointments and procedures for patients
• Prepare medical charts as needed
• Follow all policies and procedures of the Ambulatory Surgery Center and Hutchinson Clinic

Requirements
• Previous medical related experience is preferred
• Equivalent to a high school education
• Interpersonal skills: courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job
• Physical requirements: requires full range of body motion, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination
• Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time
• Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing 100 lbs
• Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range
• Requires working under stressful conditions or working irregular hours
• Requires exposure to communicable diseases or bodily fluids
