The hourly base pay rate is $26.11/hour. The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.

Job Overview

Automotive Parts Logistics Specialist

This role is accountable for the identification, communication, storage, and distribution of customer vehicle replacement parts to recon personnel. Additional responsibilities may include overseeing inventories of shop tools and supplies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify specific parts as indicated by customers (Repair Order) to be ordered and replaced on their vehicles during the recon processes and relay information to Procurement staff for order placement.
  • Collaborate with recon technicians to pinpoint specific parts needed during the recon/repair process and communicate details to Procurement staff for order placement.
  • Track, receive, inventory, and distribute all parts promptly to meet customer vehicle delivery expectations.
  • Notify Procurement of any incorrect parts or supplies in a timely manner and manage return processes.
  • Maintain all shop supply inventory levels at acceptable levels (ordered through Procurement) as directed by management.
  • Secure and control all parts and supply inventory to minimize loss or shrinkage.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Utilize appropriate safety equipment at all times while working in designated areas.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to safety by adhering to all safety and health procedures and modeling related behaviors. Actively participate in all safety activities aligned with Safety Excellence.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
  • 2 years of Auto Parts Inventory, Ordering, and Client Servicing experience.
  • Data Entry experience is required.
  • Safe drivers are needed; a valid driver's license is required.
  • The ability to drive standard, automatic, and electric vehicles.
  • Effective organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Customer-focused with strong attention to detail.
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, talk, and hear. Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat, and climb.
  • Ability to constantly enter and exit vehicles.
  • Ability to lift heavy items (i.e., starters, alternators, A/C units, etc.).
  • Manual dexterity, repetitive motion tasks.
  • Vision abilities required include close, distance, and color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in installing automotive parts preferred.
  • Mechanical aptitude with knowledge of bodywork, frame damage, and minor mechanical repairs.
