MedChi, The Maryland State Medical Society, is seeking a highly skilled Advanced Practice Provider to join our team in a Post-Graduate Fellowship in Acute Care Hospitalist program.
Program OverviewThe fellowship is a 9-month post-graduate specialty training program for Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants. The program provides a comprehensive education in Hospital Medicine and includes several specialty rotations to enhance acute care education, such as Cardiology, Neurology, and GI, among others.
Key Responsibilities- Develop critical thinking skills to make sound clinical judgments and function at top scope of practice.
- Participate in a supportive learning environment with a supervising physician and APP preceptors and mentors.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care.
- Completion of ACNP or ARC-PA accredited PA program required.
- Current Illinois RN/APRN license and certification for APRNs, or current NCCPA certified state PA license and PANCE certification for PAs.
- BLS certification.
- Excellent benefits package, including health/dental/life insurance, 403-B plan with employer match, LTD, relocation allowance, CME allowance, and paid malpractice insurance with tail insurance coverage.
- A variable schedule with opportunities to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
- A permanent position available to all fellows upon completion of the program.
