Job Summary:

The APP Fellowship Coach provides ongoing guidance to APPs hired into the program, helping them achieve their greatest potential as clinicians. This role works at the point of care to support new APPs, their preceptors, and their welcoming teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor the onboarding process and implement changes as needed to support individual APPs.
  • Provide individual coaching and feedback to APPs through intensive rounding with the team.
  • Collaborate with team members to develop schedules and create preceptor assignments.
  • Conduct analysis through the onboarding/orientation process to assure advancement of skill and provision of safe patient care.
  • Coordinate with the Executive Director, Advanced Practice for program accreditation.
  • Maintain clear communication with departmental teams.
  • Support recruitment and retention events as needed.
  • Shadow staff to ensure the progression of skills.

Requirements:

  • BSN and Master's Degree in Nursing or related field within 3 years of hire date.
  • Registered Professional Nurse (RN) License in the state of Illinois upon application.
  • National Nursing Certification (NPD) or relevant within 3 years of hire date.
  • 3 years of clinical experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects.
  • Previous experience with team-based care, including APP roles.
  • Previous education and/or precepting experience.
