Job Title: Registered Nurse - Interventional Radiology

We are actively hiring for a Registered Nurse - Interventional Radiology position at our hospital in Austin, TX. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to provide optimal patient care before, during, and after radiologic and diagnostic imaging procedures.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist radiologists and other medical professionals during diagnostic imaging examinations and interventional radiology procedures.
  • Administer and monitor intravenous contrast agents, ensuring that any allergic reactions or complications are promptly addressed.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to provide optimal patient care before, during, and after radiologic and diagnostic imaging procedures.
  • Educate patients and their families on pre- and post-procedure care, explaining the risks and benefits of radiologic tests and contrast agents.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all nursing care in accordance with hospital and departmental policies.
Requirements:
  • Associate's Degree (ADN) or above in nursing.
  • Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse license.
  • 1 year experience in radiology, ICU, or a high-acuity clinical setting preferred.
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications from the American Heart Association.
  • Strong understanding of radiologic and imaging procedures and safety protocols, including the use of contrast media.
  • Proficient in electronic medical record systems.
