Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Facility Maintenance Manager to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for leading and mentoring a team of maintenance professionals to ensure optimal performance and promote a culture of safety, teamwork, and accountability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership and Strategy
    • Develop and implement maintenance strategies to maximize equipment uptime and reliability, in accordance with World-Class Manufacturing principles.
    • Lead and mentor the maintenance team to ensure optimal performance and promote a culture of safety, teamwork, and accountability.
  • Safety and Compliance
    • Champion a safety-first culture by ensuring all maintenance activities align with company safety standards and comply with all federal, state, and local regulations.
    • Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
  • Asset Management
    • Oversee the maintenance of all manufacturing equipment and systems to ensure operational efficiency and compliance with industry standards.
    • Develop and manage a preventive and predictive maintenance program to minimize downtime and reduce costs.
  • Continuous Improvement
    • Leverage process improvement methodologies to drive efficiency gains, reduce conversion costs, and enhance overall plant performance year over year.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement and implement effective solutions.
  • Budget and Resource Management
    • Prepare and manage the maintenance budget, ensuring efficient use of resources while controlling costs.
    • Monitor inventory levels of spare parts and maintenance supplies to ensure availability and reduce lead times.
  • Culture and Workforce Engagement
    • Actively engage with the workforce to promote the Spectra InfoSystems culture, encouraging open communication and feedback within the team.
    • Foster a learning environment by supporting training and professional development opportunities for maintenance staff.

Requirements

  • Education
    • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience
    • 5+ years of experience in maintenance management within a food manufacturing or related industry.
  • Skills
    • Ability to operate standard office equipment.
    • Adept in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
    • Ability to learn new computer programs as needed.
    • Previous Great Plains experience is preferred.
