Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Intensive Care Unit team at Hialeah Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver advanced professional and technical nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with real or potential life-threatening illnesses.
  • Collaborate with the medical staff to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Perform nursing techniques for the comfort and well-being of patients, including preparing equipment and assisting physicians during treatments and examinations.
  • Participate in performance improvement initiatives to maintain provision of quality care.
  • Assist in planning, supervising, and instructing secretaries and nursing assistants to provide care to a number of patients.
  • Make comprehensive nursing decisions based on the interpretation of facts and evaluations of patient outcome.
Requirements
  • Strong critical thinking skills and ability to work in a stressful, fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition.
  • Ability to work harmoniously and effectively with others.
  • A year of experience in nursing, particularly in telemetry, is preferred.
  • Clinical competence and basic computer knowledge are required.
  • Successful completion of Critical Care Course is preferred.
  • Graduate from an approved nursing educational program as defined by the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN).
Education and Experience
  • Graduate from an approved nursing educational program as defined by the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN).
  • Current Florida Registered Nurse Licensure.
  • Current Basic (BLS) Cardiac Life Support Certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Current Advanced (ACLS) Cardiac Life Support Certification from the American Heart Association.
