**About the Job:**

As a Banquet Team Member, you will play a vital role in ensuring the success of our events. Your primary responsibility will be to provide exceptional service to our guests, ensuring that every detail is attended to with precision and care.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Set up and prepare function rooms prior to scheduled events, ensuring that all equipment and materials are in working order.
* Inspect all equipment prior to, during, and after each function to ensure that it is in good working condition.
* Report any deviations from standards to your Captain or Supervisor.
* Inventory materials and supplies at the beginning of each shift, obtaining the necessary quantities to support forecasted levels of business.
* Prepare coffee, iced and hot tea, and other beverages as required.
* Check all plates prior to service for accuracy, completeness, appearance, and presentation.
* Serve food to guests following Star Service Standards.
* Monitor guests, anticipate their needs, respond to requests, and ensure their satisfaction.
* Monitor guest alcohol consumption to prevent over-indulgence and ensure their safety.
* Clear tables and break down function rooms after the completion of banquet food service activities.
* Complete assigned end-of-shift duties.
* Perform other duties as assigned.

**Requirements:**

* High School Diploma or equivalent.
* One + years of experience as a Food Service Attendant/Banquet Server in an upscale hotel or free-standing restaurant operation.
* Thorough knowledge and understanding of quality food service techniques and standards.
* Exceptional guest service skills.
* Certifications such as 'TIPS' or equivalent responsible vendor.
* Ability to lift and carry food service trays weighing 35+ pounds.
* Ability to stand, stoop, and bend repetitively during the entire shift.
* Ability to speak, read, and understand the English language.
* Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays.
