Job Title: Infrastructure Project Manager III

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Project Manager III to join our team at the City of New Orleans, LA. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating activities of designated projects to ensure that goals or objectives are accomplished in accordance with prescribed priorities, time limitations, and funding conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plans, directs, and coordinates activities of designated projects to ensure effective and efficient management of the project consistent with an established project management cycle and compliance with department guidelines, procedures, and systems.
  • Ensures that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Develops and implements project plans, including project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
  • Coordinates and manages project teams, including project managers, engineers, technicians, and other support staff.
  • Identifies and mitigates project risks, and develops and implements contingency plans as needed.
  • Provides regular project status reports to stakeholders, including project sponsors, project team members, and other interested parties.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Construction Management, Engineering, Environmental Science, Information Technology, Geology, Chemistry, Biology, or a related field.
  • At least six (6) years of professional construction or technical project management related experience.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is highly desirable.

Working Conditions:

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects and deadlines. The candidate must be able to work effectively in a team environment and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
