Value Stream Director

The Value Stream Director will be responsible for leading the end-to-end value creation of Sedalia's value stream model, driving waste out of the value stream, and generating a consistent product flow while maintaining high-quality work. This role requires strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of lean principles, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Business or equivalent experience leading people in a lean environment. They will be responsible for leading projects/kaizens and teams of considerable size, scope, and complexity. The Value Stream Director will also have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to promote new ideas and positive change.

• Ownership of Value Stream P&L's, including cost analysis and opportunities, absorption goals, and manufacturing productivity.
• Responsible for leading the Design for Operational Excellence implementation and long-term manufacturing strategies for flow and growth.
• Meets with leaders regularly, reflecting on problems, solutions, and challenges, creating a culture of continuous improvement.
• Leads the Value Stream in daily operations and continuous improvements, including supply chain production control, manufacturing priorities, and coordination.
• Emphasizes continuous product flow, utilizes pull systems, and works to level workload.
• Creates a culture of continuous improvement and employee empowerment, ensuring standardized work/processes are followed.
• Instills and maintains a positive team atmosphere, holding regular team meetings and assigning tasks and coordinate support services.
• Utilizes leader daily standard work and visual KPI boards to achieve results through gemba walks and root cause countermeasure follow-up.
• Ensures Value Stream Leaders provide effective cross-training for the Value Stream Associates, including backups from other areas.
• Works with the team to develop the future state value stream map and manages plans to achieve it.

• Bachelor's Degree in Business or 6-10 years of applicable work experience leading people in a lean environment.
• Responsible for leadership of projects/kaizens and teams of considerable size, scope, and complexity.
• Sufficient experience and background in accounting, PC skills, manufacturing, human resources management, inventory control, and strategic planning.
• Demonstrated teamwork and team building skills in producing results by meeting organizational objectives.
• Capable of assessing and developing individual and team skills and capabilities.

The estimated salary for this role is between $120,000 and $150,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. This is a competitive salary range for a senior-level role in the industry.
