ROLE SUMMARY

The Clinical Support Specialist is integral to the operational efficiency of our healthcare services. This role involves assisting healthcare professionals in delivering quality patient care and ensuring the seamless functioning of daily clinic activities. Responsibilities include patient preparation, performing basic clinical tasks, and managing administrative duties under the guidance of healthcare providers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Administrative Duties:

  • Prepare examination areas, ensuring all medical supplies and equipment are adequately stocked and organized.
  • Maintain cleanliness of clinical spaces in accordance with established health protocols.
  • Conduct patient intake by measuring vital signs and gathering medical histories.
  • Assist in medical procedures, including administering injections and performing EKGs.
  • Document patient interactions and medical procedures accurately in electronic health records.
  • Support laboratory operations by performing basic lab tests under supervision.
  • Facilitate communication between patients and healthcare providers, ensuring clarity in treatment plans.
  • Assist in patient follow-up and care coordination as directed by nursing staff.
  • Participate in training and development activities to enhance clinical skills.
  • Contribute to the overall team effort by assisting colleagues as needed.

Quality Assurance:

  • Engage in quality improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery.

Customer Service:

  • Foster positive relationships with patients and staff, promoting a collaborative environment.

Safety and Compliance:

  • Adhere to safety protocols and report any hazards to management.
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient information in compliance with regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in maintaining accurate records and documentation.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Certification as a Medical Assistant preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to perform tasks that require physical stamina, including standing for extended periods.
  • Capable of lifting and moving items up to 25 pounds.
