Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare outgoing deliveries of finished goods by reviewing incoming documentation (orders), operating forklifts, and ensuring accurate order-picking for timely deliveries.
- Conduct inventory verification and visually inspect pallets/shipments for quality assurance.
- Change over pallets for picking and inspect items for damages or flaws, documenting any issues to the Supervisor or team lead.
- Pack, seal, and label pallets for shipping as necessary, utilizing RF scanning equipment to document and verify item counts.
- Manage battery charging and watering procedures.
- Load and unload trucks while adhering to safety protocols and JDE/scanning ticket procedures.
- Complete necessary shipping worksheets to ensure accurate loading of finished goods.
- Engage in warehouse consolidation projects and other tasks to maintain accurate inventory and a tidy warehouse environment.
- Uphold general warehouse sanitation in compliance with NFL, AIB, SQF, and FDA regulations.
- Continuously improve truck loading accuracy while minimizing shipping errors and damages, ensuring adherence to the daily loading schedule.
- Guarantee product integrity, quality, and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- A minimum of 3 years of forklift experience is necessary; forklift certification is mandatory.
- Prior experience in a warehouse setting is essential.
- Basic computer skills and mathematical abilities are required.
- Proficiency in using PC and common software applications, such as RF Smart, E-1, Share Point, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while also collaborating effectively with others.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary for clear information exchange with colleagues.
- Proof of a valid truck driving license is required; prior experience with clamp trucks is preferred.
- Attention to detail and strong communication skills are essential.
Food Safety Compliance:
Must adhere to all Federal, State, Corporate, Warehouse, and Food Safety standards, policies, and guidelines (e.g., HACCP, GMP, SQF, FDA).
Physical Requirements:
- Must be capable of frequently lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Willingness to work in a non-climate-controlled environment is necessary.
- Ability to meet physical, environmental, and mental requirements, with or without accommodation.
- Frequent lifting, bending, walking, and standing for extended periods is required.
