Magnetic Resonance Imaging Specialist Staten Island/Bard Ave Tuesday

NYU Grossman School of Medicine is a leading institution in medical education, scientific research, and patient care. We are seeking a skilled Magnetic Resonance Technologist to join our team in Staten Island/Bard Ave.
Key Responsibilities- Operate Magnetic Resonance Imaging equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images and perform procedures according to established standards and practices.
- Accurately utilize the PACS system to make images available to radiologists for interpretation.
- Enter proper exam coding in the Radiology Information System and complete exams in a timely fashion.
- Assist in the care and maintenance of facilities, equipment, and supplies, reporting any equipment problems or malfunctions to the supervisor.
- Instruct and supervise radiography students in clinical practicum, working with them to perform exams and evaluate images.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
To qualify, you must have a Technical Diploma from an AMA-approved school of Radiology or Imaging Services. A New York State Radiologic Technologist License or Temp Permit is also required. Advanced Certification in MRI from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is necessary within 180 days of hire or transfer. Strong communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills are essential, along with basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
Preferred QualificationsA Bachelor's Degree in Radiology or a related health field is preferred, as is 1-2 years of experience as an MRI technologist or training.
