The Copper River Family of Companies is seeking a skilled Fabrication Specialist to join our team. As a Fabrication Specialist, you will be responsible for fabricating and assembling various components and vessels using aluminum and steel materials.
Key Responsibilities- Operate welding equipment using GMAW and GTAW techniques to weld aluminum and steel sheet, plate, and extrusion in all positions.
- Prepare weldments using tools such as saws, routers, grinders, pneumatic cutting tools, wire brushes, and various hand tools of the trade.
- Interpret blueprints, drawings, weld symbols, and schedules to lay out patterns on material.
- Perform welding in the fabrication phase of construction, including the pre-fabrication of sub-assemblies such as bulkheads, girders, decks, and cabins using jigs and fixtures.
- Secure small parts for assembly and welding.
- Operate overhead cranes, forklifts, man lifts, and other fabrication equipment.
- Maintain a professional, neat, and secure fabrication area.
- High school graduate or GED.
- Valid driver's license.
- Aluminum welding and fabrication experience.
- Must pass the Welding and Fabrication testing given on site.
- Fabricating and assembling aluminum vessels and/or aluminum vessel components.
- Interpreting blueprints, drawings, weld symbols, and weld schedules.
- Operating forklifts with certification.
