Job SummaryWe are seeking an Ophthalmic Technicians/Scribes to join our team at our West Yarmouth office, with occasional travel to Falmouth and Sandwich. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing accurate documentation and summarization of ocular examinations, ensuring seamless patient flow and communication.
Key Responsibilities- Accurately summarize and document physician examinations, including charting and documentation of chief complaints, assessments, and treatment recommendations.
- Assist during exams as needed, including holding patients' heads in the slit lamp and providing medications and instruments.
- Provide written instructions and patient education materials for patients to review at home, ensuring they understand all instructions.
- Maintain accurate patient charts and ensure patient flow.
- Assist floor technicians with patient care as needed.
- High school diploma and basic understanding of algebraic principles.
- Two or more years of experience in an office setting, with healthcare experience a plus.
- Excellent spelling ability and attention to detail.
- Strong PC and administrative skills.
- Able to perform accurate refractions efficiently.
