Position Overview
Creative Financial Staffing is looking for a dedicated Staff Accountant to play a crucial role within our financial team. The Staff Accountant will be tasked with maintaining the integrity of general ledger accounts, ensuring that financial reports are accurate and timely, and contributing to the overall accounting operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate meticulous attention to detail, strong analytical capabilities, and exceptional organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee month-end closing activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Evaluate financial information to guarantee accuracy and adherence to accounting standards (GAAP).
- Spot opportunities for process enhancements and execute strategies to improve efficiency.
- Work collaboratively with various departments to ensure the precise and prompt recording of financial transactions.
- Manage fixed asset accounting and related financial processes.
- Assist in inventory accounting, focusing on cost management and collaboration with operational teams.
- Conduct research to ensure compliance with tax regulations.
- Support a variety of accounting projects as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business discipline.
- A minimum of two years of relevant accounting experience.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 is advantageous).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
