Subrogation Claims Intern

The Claims Investigation Intern plays a crucial role in supporting the subrogation team by engaging in various task-oriented activities essential for the comprehensive examination of subrogation files. This internship takes place in Crawford & Company's office, under the guidance of the Investigations Manager.

• Initiating new claims with relevant adverse carriers.
• Collecting necessary documentation from third parties that are not accessible through the client.
• Finding and acquiring police reports; ensuring their receipt.
• Requesting outcomes and dispositions from local courthouses.
• Identifying and securing contact details for adverse insurance carriers and adjusters.
• Managing the scanning, printing, and mailing of outgoing correspondence.
• Executing additional tasks as assigned.

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience is preferred, though not mandatory.
• Familiarity with the insurance sector is advantageous.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
• Exhibiting a professional demeanor.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with proper grammar.
• Proficient in MS Office applications and handling PDF documents.
• Capable of meeting deadlines and managing fast-paced projects.
• Maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Consistent and reliable attendance is required.
• Willingness to dedicate necessary hours to complete assigned projects.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks in a sedentary work setting.
