Job Summary

LivaNova, PLC is seeking a highly skilled Microbiology Technician to join our team. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for conducting microbiological testing, environmental monitoring, and packaging process testing to ensure the quality and safety of our medical devices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform microbiological testing, including product and component sterility testing, environmental monitoring, and packaging process testing.
  • Read and interpret microbiological cultures and other related tests.
  • Review and approve environmental monitoring data.
  • Initiate equipment evaluation and repair as needed.
  • Manage sterilization and lab materials.
  • Perform technical review of batch filling records to ensure quality of aseptic processes.
  • Assist in validation, re-validation, and technology transfer activities.
  • Ensure established processes are maintained and followed.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Microbiology preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience working in a clinical medical laboratory or similar setting.
  • Working knowledge of aseptic technique and ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Familiarity with GMP/GDP requirements is a plus.
