RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conduct thorough sanitation and maintenance of the facility, ensuring that all processing equipment is cleaned and sanitized according to established standards to prepare for client operations.
Maintain the facility and surrounding areas in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices and recognized Food Safety Standards.
Remove all waste and product residues from the premises; clean floors, walls, and ceilings.
Follow the directives of the Sanitation Supervisor and Leads; duties will be assigned by both.
Adhere to all guidelines for sanitation tools and equipment.
Wear the specified protective gear provided by the company at all times.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Understanding of chemical usage, proportions, and regulations.
Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills, along with effective listening abilities.
Familiarity with sanitation equipment and tools.
Knowledge of GMPs, Food Safety, and Sanitation Procedures.
Ability to read and comprehend Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
Capability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to handle challenging and/or sensitive situations.
Previous experience in roles such as janitor, custodian, cleaner, maintenance team member, production crew member, or chemical mixer is preferred.
Willingness to learn and adhere to safety procedures when working with moving machinery.
Openness to change and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
A minimum of 1 year of sanitation experience is required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs (for waste removal) and/or up to 70 lbs (when using power hoses).
Exposure to chemical cleaning solutions (chlorine, acid, and detergents) requires adherence to safety protocols.

PERFORMANCE TASKS:
Ability to stand for most of the shift, walk, stoop, bend, reach, crouch, and climb stairs and ladders.
Work in a cold and wet environment (approximately 34 degrees).
Reliable transportation is necessary to commute to the work site.
Flexibility with scheduling is essential, as shift times may vary based on operational needs, and weekends and overtime may be required as part of the regular work schedule.
