Job Summary

US FAA CFI is seeking a skilled and dedicated Flight Instructor to join our team. As a Career Flight Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching students how to fly in a variety of settings using methods that include textbook education, simulators, and live flight training.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct flight training in accordance with Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) and Standardized Aviation Accreditation (SAA) course outlines or contract training courses, as appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate logbook records of assigned students and schedule stage checks in a timely manner.
  • Manage assigned students' training within syllabus and schedule.
  • Maintain currency in all procedures and regulations.
  • Maintain recency in accordance with FAR 61.57 and keep records on file with instructor records.
  • Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and regulations.
  • Complete initial Instructor standardization in accordance with FAR and annual recurrent instructor standardization in accordance with FAR 141.
  • Complete periodic Line Checks/Evaluation Flights as required.
  • Participate and promote a safety culture, reporting all aviation safety-related issues via the feedback system, and adhere to processes related to accomplishing goals.
  • Perform Non-EOC and EOC stage checks.
  • Perform other tasks assigned by the Program Manager, Chief Instructor, and/or Center Director.
Requirements:
  • Must be a certified Flight Instructor with a valid FAA certificate.
  • Must have a strong understanding of aviation regulations and procedures.
  • Must be able to maintain accurate records and adhere to SOPs.
  • Must be able to work in a dynamic environment and adapt to changing situations.
