Position Title: Registered Professional Nurse at Yukon Kuskokwim Health Corporation

As a Registered Professional Nurse at Yukon Kuskokwim Health Corporation, your primary responsibility will be to provide comprehensive patient care by adhering to the nursing process, which includes assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. You will be tasked with directing and coordinating nursing services for patients in accordance with established practice standards. Collaboration with other healthcare professionals will be essential to ensure the delivery of high-quality and efficient care.

In this role, you will need to take into account age-specific and cultural considerations while delivering care to a diverse patient population, ranging from newborns to the elderly, including those recovering from surgery and individuals with behavioral health needs. You will also be responsible for conducting initial assessments and performing reassessments every 24 hours to monitor patient progress.

Qualifications:

  • Graduation from a nursing program accredited by the NLN
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in Medical/Surgical nursing
  • Active licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse in Alaska
  • Current certifications in BLS and ACLS
  • Internationally educated nurses who have successfully completed the NCLEX, TOEFL, and Visa Screen are encouraged to apply due to the critical shortage designation
