Job Summary

As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our warehouse and cooler operations, ensuring that our products are stored, handled, and shipped efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of warehouse and cooler employees to meet business needs and ensure accurate and timely loading of outgoing semi-trailers or trucks.
  • Determine production needs and communicate with production, sales, and customer service teams to ensure adequate inventory levels and timely delivery of finished products.
  • Monitor incoming loads and invoices to identify damaged or erroneous orders and work with vendors and employees to resolve discrepancies and solve problems.
  • Ensure that procedures are followed to load finished products accurately and notify relevant departments of shortages and late deliveries.
  • Work effectively with union and non-union employees to promote positive working relationships and apply work rules, union contract provisions, and employment policies.
  • Provide supervision and guidance to assigned employees, including scheduling, daily activities, feedback, disciplinary action, and performance management.
  • Actively promote safe work behaviors and hold self and direct reports accountable for following safety rules and regulations.
  • Document and update procedures to ensure compliance with production efficiency, quality of product, employee safety, and state and federal guidelines.
  • Identify opportunities to increase operational efficiency and contain costs, and implement best practices in establishing SOPs, managing labor, and maintaining certifications.
Requirements
  • Undergraduate degree in business administration, supply chain and logistics, or related field (or equivalent combination of experience and education).
  • 2-5 years of experience in a warehouse, cooler, distribution, production, logistics, or related environment, with demonstrated leadership attributes or team lead experience.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Certification and/or license may be required during employment.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and company computer systems.
  • Knowledge of principles and practices of supervision, training, and personnel management.
  • Able to promote a team environment and interact positively with others.
  • Able to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Able to problem solve, multi-task, and prioritize work activities.
  • Able to adapt and manage to change effectively.
  • Able to identify problems, take steps to find solutions, and implement recommended solutions.
  • Able to work with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
