Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Security Officer to join our team at MSCCN. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for providing a secure and safe environment for patients, visitors, physicians, personnel, and volunteers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Patrol and monitor facility premises to prevent fire, theft, misuse, and vandalism of property.
  • Inspect doors, windows, and locks to determine the level of security.
  • Secure or unlock facility doors/entrances at specified times.
  • Monitor surveillance equipment and inspect buildings, equipment, garages, and access points to prevent losses and damages.
  • Respond to emergency codes, fire drills, and alarms.
  • Provide security education and conduct fire drills for the Safety Department.
  • Respond to emergency calls for assistance to control disorderly conduct or combative patients, potential and/or actual infant or child patient abductions, bomb threats or reports of suspicious packages, evacuation incidents, and/or chemical spills.
  • Remove and/or restrain individual(s) to a secure location and call local authorities if needed.
  • Document in detail observations, information, occurrences, and witness statements.
  • Assist with local authorities such as the police and fire department when needed.

Requirements

  • HS Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
  • PSO - Proprietary Private Security Officer certification within 30 days of start date
  • Valid Drivers License Class C
  • 1 year recent relevant experience

Working Conditions

The Security Officer will work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions. The ability to work with minimal supervision and make sound judgments in emergency situations is essential.
