Houston Methodist Willowbrook Hospital is seeking a Transporter, PRN to join our team in the Healthcare Services department. As a Transporter, PRN, you will be responsible for transporting patients safely and efficiently throughout the hospital.

About the Role

This is a part-time position that requires flexibility and a willingness to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays. You will be working closely with our nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.

We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills, a calm and composed demeanor, and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Responsibilities
  • Transport Patients: Safely transport patients throughout the hospital using stretchers, wheelchairs, and other equipment as needed.
  • Communicate with Staff: Effectively communicate with nursing staff, doctors, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Maintain Equipment: Regularly check and maintain all transportation equipment to ensure it is in good working order.
Requirements
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: 1 year of customer service or patient transportation experience preferred.
  • Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire.
