Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Nurse III to join our team at Arkansas Children's Hospital. This is a unique opportunity to make a difference in the lives of our patients and their families.

About the Role

This is a part-time Weekend Option position that requires nursing certification in Pediatric, Emergency Nursing or Critical Care. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing safe, effective, and holistic patient-centered care to individuals with complex needs.

As a Nurse III, you will utilize your advanced knowledge, skills, and experience to assess, plan, and deliver individualized care to meet the unique needs of each patient.

Responsibilities
  1. Assess increasingly complex patients and develop comprehensive care plans that address their physical, emotional, and social needs.
  2. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide high-quality, patient-centered care that meets the highest standards of professional practice.
  3. Utilize evidence-based practices and best available research to inform clinical decisions and improve patient outcomes.
  4. Mentor and precept new staff members to ensure they receive the support and guidance needed to succeed in this role.
  5. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to identify areas for improvement and implement changes that enhance patient care.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

  • An Associate's degree or equivalent from an accredited nursing program.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience as a registered nurse in a pediatric or critical care setting.
  • Certification in Pediatric, Emergency Nursing, or Critical Care is required.
