About the role at Global Channel Management:

As an Insurance Claims Specialist, you will be responsible for researching and applying insurance payments from clients to the appropriate system invoice. You will also research insurance claim payments in the AS/400 to identify the correct claim based on customer information, date of service, and service/material procedure codes and related charges.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Researching and applying insurance payments from clients to the appropriate system invoice
  • Researching insurance claim payments in the AS/400 to identify the correct claim
  • Continuously improving methods for research and processing transactions to effectively and efficiently process transactions
  • Processing transactions, applying cash, member bills, resubmitting invoices, writing off, etc.
  • Following data processing guidelines to meet established departmental standards
  • Communicating with supervisors regarding transactions processed in a timely manner
  • Identifying and recommending systems and process modifications necessary to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Assignment processes

Requirements:

  • Working knowledge of mainframe computers and systems in general, including AS400
  • Understanding of third-party benefits and administration
  • Minimum keystrokes per hour requirement of 10,000 with less than 2% error rate
  • High level of detail orientation
  • Flexibility working in both team and individual environments
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel applications
  • Understanding and honoring high levels of confidentiality
  • Promoting integrity and strong work ethics
