Job Summary

Metalcraft of Mayville is seeking a skilled Paint Helper to join our team in Beaver Dam. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for kitting, loading/unloading, and packaging parts for our paint line. This role requires attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Confirm job orders and material selections, reporting any packaging shortages to the supervisor.
  • Tape and mask parts as required for coating, ensuring accurate and efficient application.
  • Use correct hangers to hang parts correctly on the conveyor, maintaining a uniform and organized workspace.
  • Assist with assembly on the line as needed, collaborating with team members to meet production goals.
  • Remove parts from racks after oven cure, inspecting coated parts for coating thickness using approved gauges.
  • Maintain clean and organized paint hooks, ensuring they are in good working order.
  • Responsible for filling out and managing production and quality documentation as required.
  • Rack fenders with the material handler when unloading the line, ensuring efficient and safe operation.
  • Follow instructions to package parts to avoid damage, using proper containers and racks.
  • Adhere to all company rules, policies, and regulations, reporting quality concerns to the line leader, manager, or QC department.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate and plant safety standards, using proper PPE and load weight limitations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or management.


Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • Prefer knowledge of tools, equipment, materials, and application techniques common to the painting trade.
  • Prefer experience painting on a moving line in a manufacturing setting.
  • Strong basic math and computer skills.
  • Strong basic math skills.
  • Prefer previous experience working within a powder coat department.
  • Exposure to a Lean manufacturing environment.
  • General understanding of Metric and Standard systems.
  • High school degree, diploma, or a GED equivalent qualification from an accredited institution.
  • Demonstrated detail orientation, self-motivation skills, and ability to multi-task.


Compensation

This position offers a competitive salary range of $7.24-$7.25 per hour.
