Role Summary:

The Clinical Operations Manager is accountable for overseeing all departmental activities that align with the mission, vision, and values of the healthcare facility. This position is responsible for ensuring the effective delivery of administrative support through the Nursing Administrative Supervisors, Float Pool, and Hospitalist Coordinator. The manager may also fulfill various roles within the Nursing Office as required.

  • Oversees the management of Administrative Supervisors, Staffing Coordinator, and Administrative Patient Flow Supervisor. The adult inpatient float pool staff and hospitalist coordinator will report directly to the Clinical Operations Manager.
  • Responsible for patient flow and throughput management, utilizing systems such as AgileTrac, Navicare, and ED Master View, while also supporting clinical operations in areas like staffing, emergency protocols, customer service, service recovery, and performance metrics.
  • Facilitates collaborative practice and fosters strong working relationships with all healthcare team members.
  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Must possess an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required; Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) is preferred.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is required.
  • Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association is required.
  • A minimum of two years of relevant experience is preferred.
