Key Responsibilities
- Assist in surgical procedures by providing exposure, hemostasis, closure, and other essential technical functions to ensure safe operations.
- Execute preoperative and postoperative tasks to enhance patient care.
- Collaborate with the surgical team during operations under the guidance of the surgeon.
- Deliver patient care specifically to maternity patients.
- Manage inventory and assist with stocking supplies.
Qualifications
- An Associate's degree in Surgical Technology from a CAAHEP accredited program is preferred.
- A minimum of one year of experience in an Operating Room setting is advantageous.
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist is preferred or must be obtained within six months of hire.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential.
- Ability to prioritize, organize, and multitask effectively while demonstrating a high level of responsibility.
- Must be self-motivated and able to take direction well.
