Medical Examiner for United States Veterans

We are seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to perform medical assessments on United States Veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process. This is an in-person position that requires the ability to analyze data from medical records and exam findings to complete questionnaires and form medical opinions.
About the RoleThis role involves performing Disability Assessments on 3-5 Veterans per day, with a focus on providing independent medical assessments. As a Medical Examiner for the VA, you will review medical records electronically through a web portal, conduct physical exams, and document exam findings required by the VA. It is essential to note that you will not make disability determinations; this responsibility lies with the United States Veterans Administration.
Key Responsibilities- Perform Disability Assessments on Veterans
- Analyze medical records and exam findings to complete questionnaires and form medical opinions
- Conduct physical exams and document exam findings required by the VA
To be successful in this role, you must hold a current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license, meet the credentialing requirements set forth by the VA, and possess excellent time management skills. Proficiency in using a computer is also essential.
