CNC Programmer Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join our team at Elkay Interior Systems. As a CNC Programmer, you will play a critical role in planning, designing, and writing CNC programs for machines utilizing Router-Cim software.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Engineer product programs to calculate number, quantity, speeds, and feeds, and size of parts.
  • Optimize "Nest" "Cut Works" programs for Gerber fabric cutter.
  • Analyze, edit, and alter programs to increase operating efficiency or adapt to new requirements.
  • Check accuracy of drawings or plan sets and verify dimensions, including field dimensions.
  • Make entries into "Plan Set" discrepancy log.
  • Assist with training new employees on methods, processes, policies, and procedures.
  • Complete special projects as assigned.
  • Complete and maintain all required paperwork, records, documents, etc.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma required.
  • One-year certificate from college or technical college preferred with coursework in CNC Programming, Auto CAD, and Computer Programming, or 3-5 years of related experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints, customer specifications, drawings, and CNC programs.
  • Ability to prepare CNC programs, routine reports, and correspondence.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with other employees of the organization.
