Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management
    • Supervise and train a team of grocery department staff to ensure excellent customer service and efficient operations.
    • Develop and implement strategies to achieve sales, margin, and customer service goals.
    • Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching and development opportunities to team members.
  • Merchandising and Inventory Management
    • Ensure shelves are fully stocked and rotated to ensure freshness and minimize waste.
    • Implement effective inventory management systems to minimize stockouts and overstocking.
    • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products.
  • Customer Service and Engagement
    • Provide exceptional customer service to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
    • Develop and implement strategies to increase customer engagement and loyalty.
    • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless customer experience.
  • Financial Management
    • Manage department budgets and financial reports to ensure accurate and timely financial information.
    • Develop and implement strategies to achieve sales, margin, and labor hour goals.
    • Monitor and control expenses to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Storewide and Other Duties
    • Participate in storewide meetings and training sessions to stay informed and up-to-date on company policies and procedures.
    • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless store operations.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
  • Qualifications
    • 3+ years of experience in a grocery store management role.
    • Proven track record of achieving sales, margin, and customer service goals.
    • Excellent leadership and management skills.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • Education
    • High school diploma or equivalent required.
    • Bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred.
