Position Summary

Role Overview: Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of dishes, cookware, kitchen areas, and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Scrape and rinse food from dirty dishes, washing them by hand or using a dishwashing machine as per assigned duties, ensuring thorough cleanliness.
  • Wash pots, pans, and trays following established procedures to maintain high sanitation standards.
  • Polish silverware using appropriate equipment and methods to ensure a pristine appearance.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain compliance with all outlined procedures.
  • Monitor and maintain temperatures and chemical levels as per safety guidelines.
  • Keep the dishwashing area organized and compliant with safety regulations.
  • Sweep and mop kitchen floors to uphold cleanliness and safety standards.
  • Clean work surfaces, including tables, walls, and refrigerators, to ensure a hygienic food preparation environment.
  • Manage waste disposal by removing trash and cleaning garbage containers.
  • Assist in the transfer of supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
  • Support loading and unloading of supplies and products as needed.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.
