About the Opportunity

We are excited to offer a Psychiatric Nursing Professional position at Masonicare, where you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients.

As a skilled nurse on our Behavioral Health Hospital Unit, you will provide direct care to emotionally disturbed and mentally ill patients, applying your expertise to ensure high-quality outcomes. Your responsibilities will include medication administration, teaching, and supervising nursing staff to implement interdisciplinary care plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer medications, monitoring patients for adverse reactions and adjusting treatment plans as needed.
  • Teach patients and their families about healthy coping mechanisms, stress management, and self-care strategies.
  • Supervise nursing staff, ensuring adherence to the plan of care, resident profile, policies, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care transitions and promote positive patient outcomes.
  • Document all patient interactions and progress, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.

Requirements:

  • Current RN or LPN license in the State of Connecticut, in good standing.
  • Minimum one year clinical experience, preferably in an acute and/or Behavioral Health capacity.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree preferred.
