About the Role:

Masonicare, a leading healthcare provider, seeks an experienced RN Psychiatric Clinical Supervisor to join our team. This dynamic role offers the opportunity to lead a high-performing team and make a meaningful impact in the lives of patients and families.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will oversee daily clinical operations on a 50-bed Behavioral Health Hospital Unit, ensuring seamless care delivery and promoting a culture of excellence. Key responsibilities include coordinating patient care planning, managing staff assignments, and fostering strong relationships with interdisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead by example, promoting professional practice through effective team building, communication, and advocacy.
  • Identify opportunities for workflow improvement and present evidence-based solutions to senior leadership.
  • Demonstrate critical thinking skills and nursing judgment in patient interactions, modeling behaviors for staff.
  • Manage staffing needs, ensuring adequate coverage for shifts and addressing variances in a timely manner.
  • Serve as liaison between interdisciplinary teams, ensuring behavioral care plans are developed and updated as needed.
  • Participate in shift reports, rounding with staff to assess unit activity and address throughput issues.
  • Take lead on incident reporting, ensuring required documentation and notifications are complete.
  • Update care plans and patient profiles as patient conditions change.
  • Ensure inter-shift environmental rounds are completed.

Requirements:

• Graduate of school of professional nursing, BSN required or working towards

• Two years acute care clinical experience, with knowledge in financial, regulatory, and legal aspects of healthcare preferred

• Current Connecticut State RN licensure required

Estimated Salary Range: $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience
