Job Description

**Job Summary**

K2 Staffing is seeking a highly skilled Warehouse & Distribution Lead to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the receipt, storage, and shipment of goods.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead by example, demonstrating effective and efficient warehouse operations to team members.
  • Receive and inspect incoming shipments, ensuring accuracy and promptness.
  • Unload delivery trucks using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other warehouse equipment.
  • Verify inventory counts and report discrepancies to supervisors.
  • Prepare receiving reports and document any issues.
  • Examine incoming shipments, reject damaged items, and record discrepancies.
  • Organize and store materials in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Attach identifying tags or labels to materials and mark information on containers.
  • Assemble and fill orders for shipment to customers.
  • Prepare shipping documentation as directed by the Customer Service Representative.
  • Review orders to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Maintain warehouse equipment and address maintenance issues promptly.
  • Operate equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Count and identify stock materials as listed on cycle count lists.
  • Assist with running large digital printing press machines.

Competencies

  • Identify products by size, type, style, color, or product code.
  • Read and match orders on Warehouse Task Forms.
  • Apply basic math, reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Understand and execute instructions.
  • Have a general understanding of the warehouse layout.
  • Operate inventory control equipment, such as bar-coding equipment and handheld devices.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • 3 years of experience working in a warehouse or distribution center with lead experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Forklift certification.
  • Knowledge of FedEx and UPS shipping and receiving.
  • Valid California driver's license.

Physical Requirements

  • Able to move and lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
  • Able to withstand typical warehouse temperatures.
  • Position spends 6-8 hours standing, walking, lifting, pulling, and pushing.
  • May require climbing ladders for top-level selection.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
