Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and treat human responses to actual and potential health problems through case finding, health teaching, health counseling, and provision of care supportive or restorative of life and well-being.
  • Execute medical regimens prescribed by licensed physicians, dentists, or other licensed healthcare providers, in accordance with NYS Department of Health regulations.
  • Adhere to current Kaleida policies and standards of practice.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care and efficient surgical services.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest medical advancements and best practices.
Requirements
  • Current NYS registration as a Registered Professional Nurse/RN Permit required upon hire and must be maintained thereafter.
  • American Heart Association-Basic Life Support (BLS) within 6 months of Hire and must be maintained thereafter.
  • One (1) year critical care/telemetry experience preferred for PACU, Ambulatory Surgery Unit, and Surgical Care Unit.
  • OR experience preferred for RNs in the OR.
  • American Heart Association ACLS (All Sites) & American Academy of Pediatric or American Heart Association PALS for PACU.
