We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Surgical Services Nurse to join our team at Kaleida Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our surgical services.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and treat human responses to actual and potential health problems through case finding, health teaching, health counseling, and provision of care supportive or restorative of life and well-being.
- Execute medical regimens prescribed by licensed physicians, dentists, or other licensed healthcare providers, in accordance with NYS Department of Health regulations.
- Adhere to current Kaleida policies and standards of practice.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care and efficient surgical services.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest medical advancements and best practices.
- Current NYS registration as a Registered Professional Nurse/RN Permit required upon hire and must be maintained thereafter.
- American Heart Association-Basic Life Support (BLS) within 6 months of Hire and must be maintained thereafter.
- One (1) year critical care/telemetry experience preferred for PACU, Ambulatory Surgery Unit, and Surgical Care Unit.
- OR experience preferred for RNs in the OR.
- American Heart Association ACLS (All Sites) & American Academy of Pediatric or American Heart Association PALS for PACU.
