REGISTERED NURSE - FLOAT POOL

Sign-On Bonus Potential:

SUMMARY OF POSITION
The Registered Nurse (RN) is an integral member of the Nursing Department, holding responsibility and accountability for delivering high-quality nursing care.

The RN coordinates care for patients and their families through the effective application of the nursing process, utilizing independent judgment, collaboration, and communication with all team members, including ancillary and support services.

The RN formulates a comprehensive nursing care plan and employs established clinical pathways, which are executed by the care delivery team under the RN's supervision.

The RN provides and delegates patient care activities based on patient needs and the skills and abilities of the team, overseeing the delivery of care by the team members.

The RN assesses patient responses to treatments and nursing interventions, revising the care plan as necessary. The RN monitors patient progress and prepares patients for discharge.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required - Associate's Degree

Preferred - Bachelor's Degree


A minimum of 2 years of RN experience in an acute care environment is required, with a strong preference for telemetry experience and experience across multiple hospital units.

CPR certification from AHA Healthcare Provider is required.

RN - Registered Nurse licensure is required.

NIHSS - National Stroke Association NIH Stroke Scale certification is required within 6 months of hire.

SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS


The Supplemental Staff RN must maintain proficiency, mandatory learning experiences, education, and competency requirements in at least three clinical areas.
