Position Overview

The role requires overseeing on-site construction activities, along with organizing, planning, and scheduling to guarantee that projects are delivered punctually and within financial constraints.

This position will be based on-site.

Additional performance-based compensation is available for those willing to travel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform site inspections to evaluate progress, quality, and adherence to safety standards.
  • Engage with clients, architects, engineers, inspectors, vendors, crews, subcontractors, and suppliers to facilitate timely project completion.
  • Analyze contracts, drawings, and specifications to formulate on-site strategies and protocols.
  • Generate project documentation, including schedules, RFIs, jobsite controls, tracking reports, and daily logs.
  • Inform project management of potential challenges and assist in their resolution.
  • Coordinate and oversee subcontractor operations to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Implement quality assurance processes to confirm that work aligns with plans and specifications.
  • Lead safety meetings and ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols.
  • Participate in the recruitment, evaluation, and hiring of construction staff.
  • Supervise and mentor direct reports to meet project goals.
  • Collaborate with project managers to maintain consistency in estimates and timelines.
  • Ensure all necessary permits and temporary facilities are established prior to the commencement of construction.
  • Guide Specialty Superintendents and provide direction to Assistant and Specialty Superintendents.
Qualifications
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Skilled in reading and interpreting construction documents.
  • Familiarity with general construction methodologies and practices.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Capacity to learn new field management and reporting software.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Ideally, 3+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Supervisory experience, with a minimum of 1+ years in field supervision preferred.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
  • Moderate physical activity, including sitting, walking, standing, bending, and lifting.
  • Occasional physical exertion, such as extended periods of standing, traversing uneven terrain, and climbing.
  • Good vision, hearing, and speaking abilities are essential.
  • Standard project site environment with potential exposure to machinery, materials, chemicals, and the necessity for protective equipment.
