The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment. As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will be responsible for providing non-diagnostic telephone assessments of patients' symptoms and/or situations, utilizing medically approved nursing assessment guidelines to determine the level of urgency and timeframe for evaluation based on the nature of the symptoms.
You will also be responsible for completing computerized call documentation in an accurate and timely manner, adhering to established Parkland and department standards, goals, and objectives. Additionally, you will serve as a patient advocate, focusing on patient needs, rights, and confidentiality, religious and cultural preferences. Consistently maintaining constructive working relationships with all Parkland internal/external customers, employees, etc., and may serve as a preceptor to new staff members.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop and maintain knowledge of BioTel Medical Control System, all agencies under the BioTel Medical Control System, Trauma Protocols, EMS Protocols, and BioTel Clinical Practice Guidelines. You will also be required to demonstrate a working knowledge of standard pre-hospital procedures and techniques & appropriate regulatory guidelines, as well as knowledge and skill in the use of the BioTel equipment system.

We offer a competitive salary of $75,000-$90,000 per year, depending on experience, and a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, retirement savings plan, paid time off, and continuing education opportunities.
