Job Summary

Lone Star College is seeking a qualified Adjunct Faculty member to teach Industrial Diesel Technology courses. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating engaging lessons, evaluating student progress, and maintaining professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community.

This is a part-time, semester-by-semester position, contingent upon student demand. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial technology, diesel technology, or a related field, and 3 years of work experience in the field.

The successful candidate will be expected to teach at a variety of times and locations, and will be required to meet with classes at all scheduled times and be available to students outside of class instruction.

The salary for this position is $53.82 per contact hour.

Responsibilities

The Adjunct Faculty member will be responsible for:

  • Teaching Industrial Diesel Technology courses at a variety of times and locations
  • Creating engaging lessons that promote student involvement and application of the material
  • Submitting required college reports and forms in a timely manner
  • Utilizing a course syllabus for each course, following established institutional guidelines
  • Maintaining professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community
  • Attending meetings, trainings, and orientations as required
Requirements

The successful candidate will have:

  • An Associate's Degree in industrial technology, diesel technology, mechanical engineering, machining technology or a related field
  • 3 years of work experience in the field
