Role Expectations:

The Certified Anesthesia Technologist (Cer. A.T.T.) will report directly to the Director of Surgical Care Administration and work under the guidance of the Operating Room Manager and licensed anesthesia professionals. As essential members of the anesthesia care team, Anesthesia Technologists play a crucial role in assisting anesthesia providers and Operating Room Nurses to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective anesthesia care during both routine and complex surgical procedures. Responsibilities include the preparation and maintenance of patient monitoring devices and anesthesia delivery systems throughout the anesthesia process. This is a full-time role that may require flexible hours and is eligible for overtime compensation.

Educational Requirements:

A high school diploma or GED is mandatory, along with graduation from an accredited program recognized by the Anesthesia Society of Anesthesia Technologists and Technicians (ASATT).

Experience and Training:

A minimum of one year of experience as a Certified Anesthesia Technologist in an acute care environment is preferred.

Licenses and Certifications:

  • Current Certified Anesthesia Technologist (Cer.A.T.T.) certification from the American Society of Anesthesia Technologists and Technicians (ASATT)
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
  • Effective January 1, 2025, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association will be required

Skills Required:

  • Proficient understanding of medical terminology
  • Demonstrates knowledge of anesthesia equipment and associated supplies
