Automation Systems Technician

Job Overview:
As an Automation Systems Technician, you will engage in electrical, control systems, and instrumentation responsibilities, alongside some mechanical functions including setup, calibration, tuning, and troubleshooting. You will serve as a vital resource for the maintenance team during electrical/control escalation events.

Compensation: $30-35/hr plus an average of 10 hours of overtime (time and a half) weekly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to all safety protocols established by the department and organization.
  • Electrical Craft Work: Execute setup, adjustment, troubleshooting, replacement, and programming of electrical systems while performing minor mechanical tasks in accordance with Asset CARE methodology.
  • Dismantle, assess, and reconstruct electrical assemblies to guarantee compliance with specifications or production standards.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED is mandatory. CCST Level II or equivalent is preferred.
  • Industrial Journeyman level experience and/or hands-on experience with heavy industrial Electrical, Control Systems, Instrumentation, and PLCs.
  • Proficiency in diagnosing electrical controls, PLC programming, and processor-based diagnostic panels is essential.

Employment Type: Full-time

Compensation: $35.00 per hour

Expected Work Hours: 40 – 50 hours per week
