About the Role

As a Maintenance Technician 3 at Target, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our supply chain facilities. You will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems, including material handling equipment, to ensure high equipment availability rates.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical aspects of material handling equipment, including conveyors, sortation, robotics, and Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (ASRS)
  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot relay logic, ladder diagrams, and control components, including photo eyes, motor starters, relays, limit switches, proximity sensors, timers, solenoids, Servo drives, frequency inverters, linear drives, tachometers, and encoders
  • Troubleshoot PLC programs, components, field buses, and communications modules, and configure and adjust PLC parameters and component setup
  • Conduct maintenance and higher-level troubleshooting of any robot type, and develop work plans with peer technicians for emergency repair of critical assets
  • Utilize handheld devices and asset management system mobile apps to create and close work orders with appropriate data, and develop and maintain positive working relationships across all levels of the organization
  • Follow appropriate safety procedures and use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while maintaining equipment, and ensure a safe work environment by eliminating potential equipment safety hazards
About You

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician 3 with a strong background in electrical and mechanical systems, and a proven track record of maintaining and troubleshooting complex equipment. You will possess excellent PC competency and ability to use mobile apps on handheld devices, and be familiar with wiring diagrams, symbols, and electrical measuring.

Desirable qualifications include a degree from a technical or community college, or accredited industrial maintenance certifications, with a focus in the Mechanical/Electrical fields, and 4+ years of experience in the Mechanical or Electrical maintenance field.
