Licensed Practical Nurse LPN Stroke/Neuro B1W FT Days

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team in the Stroke/Neuro unit at Northeast Georgia Health System. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.
Job Summary:Under the direction of the Registered Nurse, the LPN will provide nursing care to assigned patient populations, organizing patient care and setting priorities while assisting with the provision of patient care as established within the framework of the Georgia Board of Nursing Nurse Practice Act.
Responsibilities:- Assist with data collection and provide feedback to the Registered Nurse from a variety of sources to enhance clinical decisions about treatments and nursing interventions.
- Obtain data sensitive to cultural diversity, ethnicity, age, gender, and lifestyle choices from multiple sources, including the patient, significant other, healthcare providers, and medical records.
- Document relevant data according to hospital standards.
- Provide feedback to the Registered Nurse in the development of nursing diagnoses and carry out the established plan of care and document reassessments, interventions, and patient responses to interventions.
- Implement therapeutic interventions established in the interdisciplinary plan of care, adjusting according to patient response.
- Teach the patient and significant other regarding needs identified on admission and during the hospitalization, documenting teaching as established by hospital standards.
- Evaluate patient responses to nursing care and therapies, documenting responses to nursing interventions according to hospital standards.
- Participate in quality improvement activities, research findings, and evidence-based practice to improve clinical care.
- Current State LPN License.
- High School Diploma or GED and LPN diploma and Licensure.
- New graduate LPNs or those with less than one year of experience will be referred to the LPN residency program.
- Preferred: Previous experience in a clinical setting, minimum of 2 years experience.
