Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Northeast Georgia Health System Inc. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality patient care in our Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

About the Role

As a Registered Nurse in our ICU, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care, collaborating with other healthcare professionals, and contributing to the development of individualized care plans. Responsibilities

  1. Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing procedures, and monitoring vital signs
  2. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, therapists, and social workers, to develop and implement individualized care plans
  3. Conduct thorough assessments of patients, identifying their unique needs and developing targeted interventions
  4. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes
  5. Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices
  6. Stay up-to-date with the latest clinical guidelines, research, and best practices in critical care nursing
  7. Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment, promoting a culture of respect, empathy, and teamwork
  8. Participate in ongoing education and professional development, enhancing your skills and knowledge in critical care nursing
  9. Meet regulatory and accreditation standards, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and policies
  10. Document patient care, including progress notes, medication administration records, and other relevant information
  11. Perform other duties as assigned by management

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A current RN license in the state of Georgia
  • At least 1 year of experience in critical care nursing, preferably in an ICU setting
  • Strong clinical skills, including assessment, diagnosis, and intervention
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities
  • Commitment to ongoing education and professional development, staying current with the latest clinical guidelines and best practices
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in electronic medical records and other relevant software
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds, with frequent standing, walking, and bending
  • Ability to work in a smoke-free environment
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
