Position Summary
Shift: 8:00am - 6:30pm
Schedule: 4 days per week (specific days may vary)
We are looking for a dedicated Clinical Nurse Specialist. Our nursing professionals are essential members of interdisciplinary teams within our hospitals and clinics, committed to providing exceptional patient care.
- Skilled clinician with extensive experience in patient care, possessing a deep understanding of specific patient populations.
- Utilizes acquired knowledge, clinical theories, and research to adapt to evolving clinical situations.
- Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of therapeutic patient care, patient advocacy, clinical pathways, and hospital systems under general supervision.
- Integrates the AACN Synergy Model into daily clinical practice.
- Effectively delegates responsibilities while recognizing the roles of the interdisciplinary team and family care partners in patient care planning.
- Assumes a developing leadership role, including Charge Nurse responsibilities when assigned.
- Provides orientation for staff or students in the absence of a designated preceptor.
- Proactively identifies potential patient crises through continuous evaluation of patient outcomes.
- Implements appropriate actions in non-routine situations, seeking assistance for complex issues.
- Coordinates necessary diagnostic procedures.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program with at least 24 months of recent nursing experience within the last five years or completion of a re-entry nursing program.
- Must possess a valid, active, unencumbered Nursing license or a temporary permit approved by the Georgia Licensing Board.
- BLS certification (AHA) is required; ACLS certification may be necessary in designated departments.
