About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Manufacturing Director | Site Leader to join our team at Medtronic. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for leading all aspects of manufacturing operations, including safety, quality, and production.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive operations strategies to ensure success of the organization
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of 7 direct reports and 15 staff leaders
  • Plan and administer budgets, including making budgetary recommendations on capital expenditures and direct/indirect labor
  • Employ lean concepts and techniques to allocate resources effectively and fully utilize assets to produce optimal results
  • Implement cost reduction, waste reduction, quality improvement, and productivity improvement programs to ensure attainment of key performance metrics and sustainable performance improvements
  • Participate in company-wide initiatives to determine One Best Way practices and subsequent local implementation to improve business processes
  • Represent Medtronic in the community and in professional organizations at a local or regional level
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience with 10+ years of managerial experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 13 years of relevant experience with 10 years of managerial experience
  • Degree in Engineering or Technical Sciences
  • Medical Device Manufacturing experience
  • Breadth of background across numerous roles/functions within Manufacturing and Supply Chain with demonstrated success in each area
  • DMAIC Lean / Six Sigma Certification
  • Plant manager experience in a medium to large manufacturing facility
  • Demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing systems
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and successfully execute a strategy
  • Proven track record of building organizational capability and talent
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated success in a matrix organization
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, and the ability to interact with all levels of employees
  • Experience in leading large-scale change management
