IMAGING RESPONSIBILITIES
~ Conducts a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-ray exams and Fluoroscopy.

~ Proactively evaluates and addresses patient needs to enhance care quality, image clarity, and overall patient experience, including positioning and preparation for procedures.

~ Assists physicians during diagnostic or specialized procedures, ensuring sterile techniques are maintained.

~ Provides clear explanations and instructions to patients and their families, utilizing appropriate communication skills.

QUALITY AND SAFETY STANDARDS
~ Adheres to safety protocols during all imaging procedures, applying ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) principles to protect patients and staff.

~ Conducts daily quality control checks on imaging equipment, ensuring functionality and safety before use. Reports any equipment issues promptly.

~ Utilizes critical thinking to monitor patient reactions and addresses any concerns effectively.

DOCUMENTATION AND EFFICIENCY
~ Maintains accurate and thorough documentation of patient procedures and enters charges promptly.

~ Manages resources effectively, minimizing waste and prioritizing tasks efficiently.

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
~ Engages in departmental projects and continuing education opportunities to enhance professional growth and development.

CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED
ARRT-R - Radiologic Technologist - Radiographer (ARRT) AND CMRT - Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist - State Licensure. New graduates must obtain their Texas Medical Board license within the designated timeframe.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES
~ Demonstrates the necessary skills and competencies to perform assigned tasks safely and effectively.

~ Proficient in English, with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.

~ Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Hospital/Radiology Information Systems.

WORK ATTIRE
