As a Communication Specialist in Speech Therapy at Columbus Center for Human Service, you will be instrumental in enhancing the quality of life for individuals with disabilities, fostering their integration into the community.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree from an accredited Speech Language Pathology program.
- Current licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist in Ohio, maintaining good standing.
- Experience with the intellectual and developmental disabilities population.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
General Responsibilities:
In this role, you will:
- Conduct daily reviews and updates of tasks using departmental software and work management platforms.
- Embody the organization's mission, vision, and core values through your conduct and behavior.
- Maintain personal accountability to yourself, your team, and leadership.
- Report incidents promptly and complete necessary documentation on electronic platforms.
- Stay informed about established policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Utilize existing information systems to gather relevant data.
- Adhere to the chain of command and on-call protocols.
- Commit to ongoing professional development and training requirements.
Key Responsibilities:

- Perform evaluations related to speech and dietary textures.
- Train direct care staff on communication strategies and meal requirements.
- Collaborate as a vital member of a comprehensive, interdisciplinary team.
- Compensation is negotiable based on education and experience.
